Note From The President
Welcome to Bible College of Malaysia!
This is a place where Christian ministers and leaders are trained and formed. We are so honored to be part of God’s movement in raising up Christ-like servants who fulfil the calling of God in their lives. I hope that you will catch the vision of BCM and journey along with us to expand His Kingdom.
While there is much to be grateful for in the past six decades of BCM’s establishment, we are looking to the future as we scale our impact! Let me share four initiatives we hope to achieve in the next five years so that you can better understand BCM’s aspirations for the future. We hope to:
- Expand our Impact: BCM plays a vital role in equipping church workers to be effective in their ministry. Our goal is to train more students who can meet the needs of local churches and society. Presently we have 700 students and we hope to expand to 800 in the near future.
- Expand our Team: In order to provide comprehensive and robust training to our students, we need a team of faculty members with diverse expertise. Currently, we have three faculty members pursuing postgraduate studies. We plan to hire three more lecturers.
- Expand our Physical Facilities: The current facilities are insufficient for our current training program. We have outgrown our library and office and need a larger lecture hall for seminars and events, and accommodation for visiting students and guests lecturers. Two new buildings blocks are being constructed to meet these needs.
- Sustain our Ministry: As a non-profit religious institute, BCM’s income is primarily derived from students, churches and individuals donors. We attempt to build a stronger financial buffer of at least one year via our Endowment Program to ensure the financial sustainability of the ministry.
Come and be a part of what God is doing in and through BCM. We can achieve these goals with your help and support.
First, consider signing up for a course with us and experience our study programs. We have different programs for equipping pastors, ministerial counselors and lay church leaders.
Second, we invite you to support our initiatives through financial giving. The generosity of churches and individual donors has enabled us to make our study programs affordable to students. We are also in the midst of upgrading our campus, and building two new blocks will require an estimated cost of RM13 million.
Third, encourage your young leaders in the Church to be equipped. God will continue to raise Christian leaders to be salt and light in the world and to lead God’s people in the nation. We are here to support local churches, and our mission is solely to prepare lives for ministry.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May you be challenged to keep taking steps of faith in your journey with God. Let us join hands with God to fulfil our God given mission.
Accreditation
BCM received its accreditation from the Asia Theological Association (ATA) in 1989. The Diploma of Theology (English, Chinese, BM), the Bachelor of Theology (English, Chinese and BM), the Master of Ministry (English and Chinese) and the Master of Divinity (English) study programs are accredited by the Asia Theological Association.
All of BCM’s current study programs lead towards accreditation through completion of one of these four programs (see pathway below).
That means that credits can be transferred if you wish to study in any of the education institutions under the Malaysia Association of Theological Schools. This includes the following:
